Visible and Invisible Light


Humans only see some of the light spectrum because some light is visible and some light is invisible to the human eye. Insects can see UV light but humans can’t.

The light spectrum shows people how much light we can see and how much we can’t see. Different types of light have different sized wavelengths. That’s why we can see some and not others.

There are different types of light these are the ones that are on the light specturm : gamma rays, x-rays, ultra-violet light, visible light, infrared and radio waves.
Radio waves are: TV, fm, am and radar. The colours of visible are red, violet, blue, yellow, orange, green, indigo.
