Blue penguins!!

What’s cute, tiny and blue…
A blue penguin.

Blue penguins are cute, fluffy and the best thing is that they live in New Zealand. They are 25cm tall they weigh about 2.2 pounds and are a blue tinge colour.

They have a call, which sounds a bit like this
Eh oh eh oh. It’s a lot different to other bird calls.

Now every living creature needs to eat. Blue penguins love to eat squid, fish and other small sea creatures.

Blue penguins have to keep a close eye open for predators such as fur seals, ferrets, weasels and stoats.

The life cycle of a blue penguin starts off with the adult penguins building a nest, and then they will lay their eggs. After three months the eggs will hatch and its journey of life will begin.
Imagine having a little blue penguin in your house!!
