Density Experiments

We have been learning about the density of different liquids. This is how you preform the experiment.

Equipment:
3 plastic cups
3 dyes or food colourings (red, yellow and green)
sugar
cold water
3 plastic spoons

      Method

Step 1:Grab 1 plastic cup and pour 6 tablespoons of sugar in the first cup. Repeat twice but in  the 2nd cup pour 5 and in the 3rd cup pour 4.
Step 2: Pour the water up to 3/4s of the cups and stir.
Step 3: Pour 1 drop of green food colouring in the 6 tbsp. Pour another drop in the 5 tbsp of yellow and pour 1 drop of red in the last cup.
Step 4: Pour the yellow mixture onto the green mixture. Then pour the red mixture onto the yellow mixture
