Room 9 Personal Recounts
This term we are setting personal goals for writing. Our first task for this was to write a story about our holidays and then check it against some criteria.
Here are some of our first recounts.
The exciting Baptism
What’s taking them so long? Are they getting married or something?
December the 28th was the day my 5 month old cousin Jorja Creedy was baptised. My cousin Bailey was the godmother and their friend was the godfather.
Then Jorja’s parents went to do something and came out by the altar at Church. It looked like they were getting married. But I thought to myself. “They aren’t getting married.” Suddenly, the music started and they came walking slowly forward. So they WERE getting married!
After they got married and all that stuff we went outside the church for some photos. One photo was one of the whole family and Tayla and I were at the front with Michael and Simone behind us holding Jorja. That was my favourite photo.
Other photos had Michael and Simone and Jorja with all the other families.
After the photos we all went to the Cheeky Lama for tea.
We had some delicious cupcakes. They were so cute!!! I had about 6 of them. They had little decorations like butterflies, flowers, love hearts and gingerbread men on them. At the Cheeky Lama Michael Simone and Jorja got presents. We gave a little bracelet to Jorja.
My favourite part was going to the Cheeky Lama. I felt really happy and excited for my family.
